On November 4, 2016, the VI Lyceum hosted Dr. hab. Wojciech Mruk, researcher at the Institute of History of the Jagiellonian University. Our guest gave a lecture entitled “Consequences of the Crusades”. The audience learned about the consequences of the rivalry between the Christian and Arab worlds against the background of a complicated system of political, economic and cultural dependencies in the Middle East. The message was enriched with a photo show. The participants of the lecture could independently assess whether the military rivalry in the time of the Crusades excluded the possibility of cooperation in other areas of life or vice versa – prompted cooperation. A scientific discussion took place after the lecture. The meeting was attended by classes implementing the history curriculum at the advanced level: 2C, 2E, 2F and 3D as part of the history and society subject.
