On October 28, 2019, teachers and students of Secondary School No. 6 commemorated thirty Poles shot by the German police at the wall of the Old Synagogue at ul. Wide. It was one of the many mass executions by which the occupier wanted to force Polish society to submission. For six years, our school has been taking care of the monument commemorating the victims of this crime.
On the 76th anniversary of the execution, the headmaster Iwona Fedan representing the community of our School, teachers and students of classes 2A2, 2A3 and 2G1, who represented the community of our school, paid tribute. A prayer for the dead was said by Fr. Przemysław Soboń, parish priest of the Corpus Christi parish. The representatives of District I Council: Mr. Tomasz Daros (chairman of District I Council, City Councilor of Kraków), Mr. Jacek Balcerzak and Mr. Maciej Wicherek participated in the commemoration of the victims. The ceremony was also attended by the flagship of Primary School No. Józef Dietl in Krakow.
