On October 25, at 11:00 a.m., a meeting of classes on biological and chemical extension with Dr. of medical sciences, Łukasz Krakowczyk. Our guest is an assistant professor at the Department of Oncological and Reconstructive Surgery and belongs to the team of surgeons for the head and neck region, reconstructive surgery and the team of face transplantation. Earlier this year, the American Society of Reconstructive and Microvascular Surgery, associating over 500 of the world’s best specialists in the field of surgery, awarded, by a majority of votes, the award in the Best Case category for the work submitted by prof. Adam Maciejewski and dr. hab. Łukasz Krakowczyk, the only active members of the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery in Poland.
The work, selected from around 300 submitted presentations from around the world, was recognized as the best case in the field of microvascular surgery in 2016. In recent years, however, three presentations of the team were included in the “Best reconstruction of the year” competition, announced by ASRM – they took third, second and first places.
Dr. Łukasz Krakowczyk was also awarded the Silver Cross of Merit by the President of the Republic of Poland for outstanding achievements in medicine.
