On November 3, 2017, the VI Lyceum was visited by dr hab. Wojciech Mruk, researcher at the Institute of History of the Jagiellonian University, expert in, among others crusade issues, relations between Christianity and Islam, and cultural relations in the Middle Ages.
Our expert gave a lecture on “The Latin World Against Muslims Before the Crusades” and presented the complex political, economic and cultural relationship between the Latin world and Islam from the 8th to 11th centuries. He showed numerous examples of diplomatic cooperation, the interpenetration of cultures and the expansion of trade. The following classes participated in the meeting: 2A / 2, 2A / 3, 2C, 2E and 3F, who implement the history curriculum at the advanced level. After the lecture, there was a short scientific discussion.
