From 14 to 22 March 2017, a group of young people from the renowned French Lycee Francois Ier high school in Fontainebleau visited us as part of an international exchange. The exchange is focused on art history, which is why the program of the stay in Krakow is extremely rich. Our guests raved about the monuments of Krakow, Kazimierz, great museums and exhibitions. They also reached Nowa Huta, where they visited an exhibition of Beksiński’s works. A joint trip to Zakopane, a tasting of Polish cuisine in Żabi Dwór, a walk in the sun with a view of the Tatra Mountains and a visit to Villa Atma added a highland color to our exchange. An important point of the French group’s stay is visiting the extermination camps in Oświęcim and Brzezinka, as an element of remembrance of the dramatic history of Europe.
Students of Secondary School No. 6 will go to Fontainebleau in April, explore Paris, Troyes, Fontainebleau Castle in depth, spend the weekend with correspondent families to immerse themselves in French culture and art.
