On March 13, 2019, we hosted Dr. Michał Choiński from the Institute of English Studies at the Jagiellonian University, a researcher of stylometric methods, who gave a fascinating lecture on “From Counting Words to Chemical Particles – on Stylometric Research in Literary Studies”.
What is stylometry? How are mathematics and computer programs used to find an anonymous author or to establish the chronology of a text? Students of bilingual classes with English learned the answers to these and other questions. The meeting was coordinated by prof. Agnieszka Batko.
