On Monday, October 21, courtesy of the Directorate of I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Bartłomiej Nowodworski in Krakow, students of our school had the opportunity to take part in a meeting with Daryl Davis, organized by the US Consulate in Krakow. Daryl Davis from Chicago is a pianist and vocalist who performs the music of Boogie-woogie and Blues, but the meeting was largely devoted to his non-musical activities, focused mainly on counteracting racism and hatred between people of different races. The lecture he gave in a form known, among others, from TED Talks, was highly inspiring and certainly contributed to broadening our horizons in socio-political and historical matters.
