The Oxford language debate took place on Friday, February 21 this year, during the International Mother Language Day. The representatives debated around three previously appointed theses:
Diacritical marks in communication, especially internet communication, should be abolished.
Borrowings from other languages, especially English, develop the mother tongue.
In communication, we express much more with an emote than with words.
We had a great time!
PS. We also cordially invite you to the Oxford Debates circle. Classes are held every Wednesday at 17.
