On October 27, 2017, the community of Secondary School No. 6 commemorated thirty Poles shot by the German occupiers in front of the Old Synagogue 74 years ago. The execution of randomly selected victims was a response to three attacks carried out by the Polish underground in October 1943.
The ceremony was attended by students from classes 1c, 1e and 2a2 under the supervision of the principal Marta Nowak and their teachers. The wreath on the monument to the victims was also put by the councilor of District I, Mr. Jacek Balcewicz, and Deputy Inspector Artur Figiel from the Police Station I in Krakow.
