800 080 222
– a free 24/7 helpline is launched
for children, youth, parents and educators
From today, on October 1, 2019, a new 24-hour, free, nationwide hotline for children, youth and their guardians is operating. By calling 800 080 222 children, young people, but also parents, teachers and educators will be able to obtain professional help from experienced psychologists, educators and lawyers.
Any young person with problems will be able to call the free phone number
at home, at school or in peer relationships. As statistics show, young people are more and more likely to suffer from depression and neurosis. Many of them are victims of violence and aggression – verbal
on the part of their peers and adults, they are more and more lonely and often have no one to talk to about their problems. Thanks to the new hotline, they will be able to get in touch
with specialists from the Foundation 24 hours a day and receive professional support
in the most difficult situations.
The dynamically developing world, violence on the Internet, social changes, which
even adults do not understand, they can seem overwhelming to young people.
Many negative social phenomena – cyberbullying, eating disorders, taking psychoactive substances, self-harm are quite real problems that require specialist intervention. ITAKA’s consultants are ready to provide help even
in the most difficult situations. Anyone needing help will be able to come forward
for support.
As part of the hotline, the Foundation’s employees also provide support to adults, guardians and teachers who have problems with adolescents.
All activities are carried out free of charge and anonymously. ITAKA Foundation specialists
are experienced psychologists, educators and lawyers who provide advice both over the phone, chat and e-mail. The full list of duties can be found on the official website of the project: www.liniadzieciom.pl
The new telephone number was commissioned by the Ministry of National Education
