We read and illustrate A. Mickiewicz’s Ballady i romanse – report

On December 11, 2019, the second edition of the project “We read and illustrate the work of Adam Mickiewicz” took place. Last year, we read Pan Tadeusz to celebrate the birthday of our bard, and at the same time to emphasize that reading is important and the fashion for reading is eternal. This celebration inspired us to include it in the tradition of the annual Mickiewicz celebrations.
This edition is Ballady i romanse read and illustrated by the students of our high school.

Reading “Ballads and Romance” was inaugurated by Mr. Jacek Wojciechowski, a theater, film and television actor, for many years associated with the Ludowy Theater. In his performance we heard the ballad Romantic.
The following ballads were presented in foreign languages:

Sary Majkowskiej, Igora Cholewińskiego i Tomasza Piegzy

Finally, the interpretation of Świtezianka was presented by the professors of our high school
Mrs. Izabela Żelazna, Mr. Marcin Mikrut and Mr. Norbert Pieszczyński

The ceremony was hosted by Jakub Kulik and Ksawery Konarski

Our school participates in the nationwide campaign of the Krakow Book Institute under the slogan “Hunt your book”.

All you need to do is download the free application that allows you to read and listen to 12 best-selling novels and scan the QR code.

AUTUMN READING – the school library invites you to participate in a photo competition

 

Regulations of the photo competition AUTUMN READING

Objectives of the competition:

– popularizing reading as a form of spending free time

– popularization of photography as a field of art

Conditions of participation:
– delivery of self-made photographs in a physical version (minimum format 13 × 18) and in a digital version to the address rekrutacja@vilo.krakow.pl

– attaching a declaration of copyright to the submitted work (available
in the school library)

– attaching the consent of the person (s) whose image is in the photo to publish this image (available at the school library)

By entering the competition, you consent to the processing of personal data for the purposes of the competition and to posting participants’ photos on the library and school websites.

Assessment of works:
The works will be assessed by the Committee appointed by the organizer.

The evaluation criteria are:
– technical quality of photography
– compliance of the work with the topic of the competition
– originality of the idea.

Papers should be submitted by November 8, 2019 to the school library.

The competition will be concluded on November 12, 2019.

Recitation competition – Women’s Poetry – Successes

On March 7 and 8, 2019, the “Women’s Poetry” recitation competition was held at the Podgórze Cultural Center.

The jury composed of: Natasza Słysz-Czaja (actress), Dariusz Cywka (actor, Open Theater TO) and Iwona Praczyńska also decided to award and distinguish students of our school.

DAMIAN GOLISZEWSKI – KL. 3A3 – distinction

ANNA KACZMARZYK – KL. 1G1 – distinction

The Final of the Competition – along with the awarding of prizes and the performance of the winners, took place on March 22 at the Podgórze Cultural Center at 2 p.m.

12th edition of the Małopolska Beautiful Reading Competition – distinction

KAROLINA KRUŹLAK from class 2E received a Distinction in the 12th edition of the Małopolska Competition of Beautiful Reading in the category of upper secondary schools.

CONGRATULATIONS!

The ceremonial gala of the competition: the presentation of diplomas and prizes for the Champions, Runners-up and Honored Persons will take place on March 27, 2019 (Wednesday) at 1000 at the Provincial Public Library in Krakow, ul. Rajska 1 (Lending Room and Workshop for Children).

52 winners of school eliminations from upper secondary schools participated in the competition, and were judged by a jury composed of:

Za dwa tygodnie –  24 grudnia obchodzimy 220 rocznicę urodzin Adama Mickiewicza.  „Czytamy i ilustrujemy Pana Tadeusza” to projekt, poprzez realizację którego pragniemy uczcić urodziny naszego wieszcza, a jednocześnie podkreślić, że czytanie jest ważne, a moda na czytanie jest nieprzemijająca.

Our library promotes reading through various activities, including participation in the National Program for the Development of Reading, under which 530 copies of new publications were purchased last week

Pan Tadeusz is a timeless work known in many countries of the world. The poem has been translated into 33 languages, which is almost all European languages and most of the Far East languages.

On December 10, 2018, the project commencement ceremony took place.

Interesting editions of the work in foreign languages were presented at the presentation prepared and prepared by prof. Jakub Trout.

In the background, you could admire artworks inspired by quotes from the books of Pan Tadeusz.

The illustrated part of the project was organized and conducted by prof. Teresa Lityńska-Konieczny.

All works will be presented at the exhibition.

Reading “Pan Tadeusz” was inaugurated by Ms. Alina Kamińska, a theater, film and television actress. Ms. Alina Kamińska has been associated with the Bagatela Theater for many years, she appears in cinema and TV films, in TV series, in entertainment programs, and also in shows for children at the Television Theater. She is a teacher of many documentaries and nature films, and is the voice of a number of computer games.

We listened to the Invocation in Polish performed by Aleksander Szewczyk and in four foreign languages:

English by Karolina Trela and Damian Piwowarski,

French performed by Sylwia Odrobina and Daniel Gawlik,

German by Jan Niziurski and Weronika Cieśli

and Russian performed by Stanisław Czekawski

They read selected fragments of “Pan Tadeusz”:

– Aleksandra Chojnacka, winner of the title of Master of Reading in the Małopolska Competition of Beautiful Reading in 2017

– Aleksander Szewczyk, laureate of the title of Vice-Champion of Reading in the Małopolska Competition of Beautiful Reading in 2018

-Szymon Łopusiak i Krzysztof Setlak z  kl.  2b

At the end, the scene of Farewell to Telimena and Tadeusz was presented by an extraordinary duo – Mr. Czesław Wróbel, Ph.D., and prof. Marlena Maciejewska

The ceremony was hosted by Karol Sala and Jakub Kulik

The continuation of the project started at 11.00 in classrooms and interdepartmental groups. In each room, fragments were read that formed a whole piece.
